Can you believe that it’s the NEW FREAKING YEAR ALREADY???? Happy New Year to everyone that’s supported me through 2016, my followers, subscribers, family & friends!
So I thought I would start the new year with a review. I don’t normally do reviews on skincare due to the fact it takes me at least 3 months to get through the entire contents.. and by the time I’m finished I forget to blog about it! Oops!
The Rosehip Plus team reached out and sent me a care package to trial a few months ago which included their daily cleanser, day cream, night cream and their holy grail rose hip oil which I have been using for over a year and a half now. I’ve actually done a review on it previously which you can read about here and it even made my Beauty 2016 All Stars list!
All the products are Certified Organic and made right here in Australia which is fantastic as it’s become harder and harder to find anything made at home anymore.
So my routine starts in the morning with the Perfect whip as my cleanser and once I hop out of the shower, I moisturise with the Hydrating Day Cream. The Day Cream is a very light easy to blend into the skin and doesn’t have that heavy thick feeling. It’s dries within minutes so there’s no sticky or oily sensation or needing to wait around for it to dry. Don’t you just hate that? Especially if you’ve got to wait around to apply makeup on too. The fragrance is also really light and lovely – it has a slight citrus smell to it which is really refreshing for the morning. It’s definitely a no fuss kind of cream which I feel could suit most skin types. I had no skin reactions and really don’t have anything bad to say about it. My skin definitely looked slightly brighter after the first week! Oh and bonus points for makeup not looking patchy on the skin after this has been applied!
In the evening before bed, I cleanse with the Daily Cream Cleanser and warm water which almost feels and smells like the day cream itself. Once I finish cleansing, I pat dry my face, apply the Rosehip Oil and leave for a couple of minutes before applying the night cream on top. One thing I need to stress to you is that a little product goes a really long way. Two small pumps of the night cream is MORE THAN ENOUGH and three drops of the Rosehip Oil is also plenty. Don’t be wasting good product y’all! I like to apply the Rosehip Oil first as it feels like a face mask and then putting the Night Cream ontop feels likes it’s setting everything in place. It does feel a little oily but c’mon now, it is called Rosehip OIL for a reason.
The Rosehip Oil doesn’t stop there though – I’ve been lathering this on my belly every night and as of recent on my knees and elbows as they’ve been super dry. My belly has unfortunately had some small stretch marks appear but nothing too drastic that is worrying – I mean, my skin is stretching at a rapid rate to grow a baby after all. However I have found that it’s kept my belly very well moisturised as I was finding it really dry and itchy at one point of the pregnancy before using the oil. I have a feeling this will help the skin bounce back nicely after birth but I’ll let you know!
Overall, I think the range is fantastic. All four products are quite reasonably priced and can be purchased at any Chemist Warehouse or directly from the Rosehip Plus website. The items are travel friendly as I travelled all through Japan with them in September and a little product goes a very long way. It has taken me four solid months to finish all the contents completely. I know that I won’t be giving up the Rosehip Oil anytime soon and I know that I’ll be sure to revisit the day and night cream again. I’ve received so many compliments about my skin looking really fresh and radiant over the last few months and I can’t help but think that it’s thanks to Rosehip Plus.
Have you tried anything from the Rosehip Plus Skincare range before and what were you favourites products?
